Sneak Peek | The Avett Brothers, ‘The Carpenter’

The Avett Brothers made a major splash with their song ‘I and Love and You’ back in 2009, but they haven’t released a full-length, feature album since then. That all changes in a couple of weeks. The Avett Brothers are set to release ‘The Carpenter’ on September 11th. The good news is: you don’t have to wait until then to hear their new jams. Instead, here’s a sneak peek!

The Avett Brothers The Carpenter New AlbumYou can listen to ‘The Carpenter’ in its entirety or you can hear the single tracks one by one (scroll to the list under the story). The Avett Brothers, who take a page from the same playbook as Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers, don’t disappoint with their new album. I haven’t had a ton of time to listen to every song, but ‘Live And Die‘ and ‘Down With the Shine’ are already among my favorites. The Avett Brothers even show off more of their rock band side (some call it “grungegrass”) in ‘Paul Newman vs The Demons’.

I was only introduced to The Avett Brothers about a year ago, but I quickly became a big fan of ‘I and Love and You‘. I liked the song so much that I snatched up their whole album (which goes by the same ‘I and Love and You‘ name) without even previewing the other tracks. I haven’t regretted the decision since. The album is worth every penny. I see ‘The Carpenter’ being the same way. I’ll definitely be one of the first to download the album on September 11th (or you can order in advance, of course).
